Poindexter the Porcupine makes his Iowa State Fair debut!

Stuffy the Coyote always gets a second look, our question and answer sessions are very popular even from the top row, saying hello is Calico the Cougar.

Our Birds of Prey program is always popular. There are 7 birds in the program, children enjoy measuring their wingspan and comparing it to the raptors. It is always fun working with the students from the ISU Wildlife Care Clinic. We appreciate them for bringing their educational birds and knowledge of wildlife rehabilitation to our programs. We even get some down time back stage to play with our ambassadors.
Another great day of crowds. The wolf pups are about 14 weeks old and learning to be in front of large crowds, Lola even tries to eat a stage prop, nothing beats an old caribou antler as a snack.

Day one featured the story of Bobcats in Iowa. It was a hot day but the crowds were great and everyone enjoyed the programs.
